Update for Parents and Students
Dear Parents and Students:
ATC is working diligently to establish a system of distance learning during this challenging time....Please be patient as we move forward and determine the best ways to continue our classes. ATC teachers are some of the most amazing teachers I have ever known, and student health, wellness, and education are at the top of our priorities. Please reach out if you need assistance, guidance, or just want to say hello.
Next week, April 1st, we will begin holding online zoom webinars and meetings for classes. This schedule is forthcoming. I will post a zoom link for classes, according to the schedule, as it is available.
For Biology and Honors biology, we will begin moving forward into unit 7, genetics and heredity. Many things about my expectations will remain the same as we move ahead. I will expect students to do the Cornell notes for each unit, as usual. General biology will continue doing vocabulary 4 squares and current events (all due dates forthcoming). Honors biology will be getting the next abstract assignment soon, as well.
In addition to our regular assignments, students will do some virtual activities and labs to supplement our learning. One of my absolute favorite activities is, in this unit, the Romanov Project!! So I am excited to begin:)
On a personal note, I have been devastated by this interuption to our learning together. I absolutely love what I do, and I love my students. I have been very sad about not seeing my students' faces each day, and worry about them. This said, I am excited for us to move forward, finish what we started, and learn what we can, about biology, but also about ourselves and each other, in this crazy time. Please take care of yourself...and each other...and reach out if I can help.
Most Sincerely,
Missing you- ATC,
Ms Ferguson
