Tuesday: Plotkin Ch. 1 Discussion [Noah] PPT Intro to Ethno; Intro to microscopes and Botanical Terminology ; IAIA Canvas Website Instructions
***NOTE*** In the event we have to cancel due to weather tonight, please go over the Intro to Microscopes ppt , as well, and go through the powerpoint "The Shaman's Apprentice" link below. Be prepared to tell me about them.

- Intro to ethnobotany (ppt); Historical
- Quick review (how to make wet mount slides)
- Lab: Plant slides w/drawings
- Plotkin discussion- Ch 1- Noah
- Student Projects Assignments (First Presentations Week of February 25-27; March 3-5)
- Reflection
HOMEWORK: 1. Research this website- https://plantsofthesouthwest.com/collections/all; and choose 2 plants you are interested in growing in our hydroponic unit (We will vote next time and order seeds). Remember that the needs of the plant should match our growing conditions (the hydroponic). You may need to do a bit of further research to make a good choice. Please email me the common and scientific name of your 2 choices.
2. Look at the "Student Projects Assignment" link above and be ready to sign up for your project date on Tuesday.
3. Get your IAIA ID and login, if you haven't already (You need to be able to get into Canvas- check your email for an invitation)
